Click the Image | Processing Filters | Convert to Grayscale command or click the button to convert the image to eight shades of gray. This feature is useful when the file size is very large. Converting the image to grayscale reduces the memory overhead and allows the program to process information more quickly. It is also easier to view the newly digitized vector objects.
To control how the colors are changed, click the Image | Processing Filters | Convert to Black and White instead.
