Printing the Online Help

The online help topics may be printed. You can print part of the file or the complete file.

Printing One Topic

To print one topic:

Open the help file by clicking the Help | Contents command in the Didger window.
Click the Contents tab on the left side navigation pane, if the Contents page is not displayed already.
Select the topic you wish to print.
Click the button.
If the Contents page is open in the help navigation pane, you are prompted to Print the selected topic or Print the selected heading and all subtopics. Select Print the selected topic and click OK to open the Print dialog. If the Contents page is hidden in the navigation pane, the Print dialog opens directly. In the Print dialog, click the Print button and the help topic is printed.

Printing One Section

To print one section, the tutorial for example:

Open the help file by clicking the Help | Contents command in the Didger window.
Click the Contents tab on the left side navigation pane, if the Contents page is not displayed already.
Open the Didger 5 book. This is the top-level book in the help file.
Left-click on the Tutorial book to select the book.
Click the button.
The Print Topics dialog opens. Select Print the selected heading and all subtopics and click OK. The Print dialog opens. In the Print dialog, click the Print button. All the topics included in the Tutorial book are printed.

Printing the Entire Help File

To print all of the help topics in the help file table of contents:

Open the help file by clicking the Help | Contents command in the Didger window.
Click the Contents tab on the left side navigation pane, if the Contents page is not displayed already.
Open the Didger 5 book. This is the top-level book in the help file.
Click on the Printing the Online Help topic.
Click the button.
The Print Topics dialog opens. Select Print the selected heading and all subtopics and click OK. The Print dialog opens. In the Print dialog, click the Print button. All the topics included in the online help table of contents are printed.

WARNING: Printing the entire help file takes hundreds of sheets of letter-sized paper and is very time consuming to print. There are no table of contents or index printed with the file. If you prefer all of the help file printed out, you may wish to purchase the full PDF user's guide on our website.
