Post Map IDs

When Create Post Map is checked when importing a data file, the selected Primary ID is preserved with each object. The Primary IDs cannot be individually edited from within Didger, however, these IDs are exported with each of the objects. Once the file is imported as a single post map object, you can assign a Primary ID to the post map object, but keep in mind that this Primary ID has no effect when exporting.

If you assign labels to the post map object, only the ID assigned to the post map object will be displayed. The individual IDs that are preserved with each project will not be displayed.

When a data file is imported without Create Post Map

checked, each data point's Primary ID and Secondary ID

are preserved, and each data point is a separate object.

When a data file is imported with Create Post Map checked, it is

imported as one object (note Object Type icon). The Primary IDs

selected in the Import Data File dialog are preserved within Didger

for export, but they cannot be edited or changed. A Primary ID can

be assigned to the post map object through the Data Manager.
